Safety

Thinking ahead

The Ford Puma comes loaded with Driver Assistance Technology, designed to help keep you, your family and other road users protected.

AEB with Pedestrian Protection

AEB with Pedestrian Protection

Every Puma model includes Autonomous Emergency Braking with Pedestrian detection1. Always scanning ahead, AEB alerts you of potential collisions and applies the brakes if an unexpected danger appears in front of the car1.

Emergency assistance

Emergency assistance

Emergency assistance will use your paired smartphone to call emergency services if an accident causes your fuel pump to shut down or your airbags to activate2.

180O split view camera

180° split view camera

The rear view camera1 with 180-degree split view activates automatically once you switch into reverse. Acting like an extra pair of eyes, the camera can reveal objects you might have missed and help you navigate tight parking spaces.

Traffic Sign Recognition

Traffic Sign Recognition

Puma’s front sensors scan the road ahead for traffic signs and display the current speed limit on the digital instrument cluster, helping you to avoid a hefty speeding fine1.

Ford Puma ANCAP
Adaptive Cruise Control

Adaptive Cruise Control

Just set your cruising speed and let the Puma’s radar monitor the traffic ahead and slow down or speed up accordingly1, 2.

Active Park Assist

Active Park Assist

At the press of a button, Active Park Assist will help you find the right size parking spot and steer the car into position while you focus on controlling the brakes1, 3.

Cross Traffic Alert

Cross Traffic Alert

Blind Spot Information System with cross-traffic alert uses sensors to monitor the traffic in your blind spot and warn you before reversing out of a parking spot or switching lanes1.

Tyre Pressure Monitoring

Tyre Pressure Monitoring

The Puma helps you avoid being caught with a flat tyre. The Tyre Pressure Monitoring System alerts you when the pressure is low, so you can manually check the pressure and reinflate them to the accurate level.

Lane Keeping Aid

Lane Keeping Aid

If you accidentally drift over the lane, the Puma will apply gentle steering torque and a warning vibration to guide you back if needed1.

Electronic Stability Control

Electronic Stability Control

As roads get busier, the need to make sudden manoeuvres to avoid an accident are increasing. ESC1 is designed to help prevent skidding or sliding sideways when taking evasive action or in bad conditions.

[1] Driver-assist features are supplemental and do not replace the driver’s attention, judgment and need to control the vehicle. May not operate in some driving and road conditions (including at certain speeds) or adverse weather.

[2] Adaptive Cruise Control is only included in the Park Pack at an additional cost. Cruise control is standard on all Puma models.

[3] Active Park Assist is a part of the optional Park Pack available at an additional cost across Ford Puma, Puma ST-Line and Puma ST-Line V.
